Vision Statement
To be a haven of peace for those wishing to find inner peace and connection.
Our Story
5K is a family-oriented business run by my husband and I and supported by our children. Our journey into this world really began years ago when I worked as a vet but continued and only really took off when our son Kaleb was diagnosed with autism. It was through his relationship with animals that he learned to speak, and connection with the outside brought him peace in an overstimulating world.
With our combined experiences and expertise 5K Therapy Farm strives to be a beacon in the community that prioritizes the health of all involved acting as a place of connection and healing.
Our Values
Respect
We hold respect for everyone involved in our business from our customers, our volunteers, our donors, and especially our animals.
Community
We strive to be a place where anyone and everyone can come, feel safe, and connect with others and animals building a community based on comfort and stability.
Health
We put health above all else, taking into account and prioritizing the health of our patrons, but also the health of our animals. The care of all involved comes first and foremost so we can ensure the relationships between people and animals are not unbalanced and unhealthy.
Empathy
We are committed to empathetic practices and teachings understanding that such a connection acts as a major steppingstone in every person’s healing process.
Inclusion
We are dedicated to building a place where all are welcome knowing and understanding the hardships all people face day to day. Our program is structured for everyone no matter what and is especially welcoming for those with disabilities seeking relaxation.
Communication
We believe communication is a key factor in soothing one’s spirit and mind, and thus we as all involved to always communicate things with us. Whether that be positive feedback or grievances, we want our volunteers, our patrons, and all involved to feel they have an open and safe line of communication with us at all times.
